About us

Alabaster Dance is an extension of Alabaster House church.  We are a faith based dance school that focuses on creating a beautiful place where your daughter can learn to dance, and also be loved.  We strive to create an atmosphere that helps to build strong, confident, and kind girls. We believe the music they listen to and the atmosphere a teacher brings, is important for your child's growth. We hope that our influence will extend outside the classroom.
Your dancer comes first, dancing is secondary.  Although we take pride in dance instruction, our goal is to build confidence and a positive self-image in each of our dancers. This means we value each student that walks through our door, and not only want to see them excel in dance, but in life.
We love getting to know our families and celebrating with them.

Your Teachers

Christa Boone, is the director of Alabaster Dance. She has 11 years of dance experience from right here in Huntingdon, at Carol Thompsons school of dance.  She then went onto obtain a degree in Early Childhood Development, with her desire to work with children.  Christa, along with her husband and 4 children have been in ministry for 20 years, working with children, youth, and adults. Their desire is to see people live in freedom in Christ. Loving people, seeing others reach and accomplish amazing things, help those that are lost and hurt. She has also choreographed many musical skits used in the church and on mission trips in South America.  Alabaster House, where the dance school is located was planted by Christa and her Husband Ken as a church, 6 years ago.  She has also taught dance at ProHealth in Shade Gap and continues her education online.

Mikaela (Peachey) Pealock, grew up in Mifflin County dancing at Miss (Judy's) Stephanie's School of Dance in Lewistown.  While getting a Bachelors Degree in psychology at Lee University in Cleveland, TN, she joined Unity Dance Troupe.  With them she performed in the original show The Veil, which was the story of Creation, the fall of man, and the redemption of man.  She later participated and taught at Unity Dance studios that was formed form the troupe.  Mikaela has been dancing off and on for 17 years and has enjoyed learning many styles of dance!  Including ballet, lyrical, ballroom, tap, and worship dance.  Mikaela, her husband Andrew and their two children are relocating back to Mifflin County from Tennessee and are excited to plug into the surrounding communities!  Outside of spending time with her kids and family, Mikaela enjoys reading, gardening, and learning and teaching about holistic health!

Compassion Ministries

If you're going through a difficult time and feel overwhelmed, you're not alone. We want you to know there is a group of people just waiting to help—a quiet space to find peace, strength, and hope. Whether you're struggling with grief, anxiety, uncertainty, or simply need a moment to breathe, you're welcome just as you are. Reach out to us today to schedule a time to share your story, and receive support in your journey.

Compassion Ministries Is a small group of trained volunteers from our church who are equipped to give you a safe space to share your story, then through prayer, and encouragement help you find healing in your journey.
Sharing your story can be a powerful step toward healing. When you open up and allow others to pray with you, you invite comfort, support, and a sense of connection that reminds you you’re not alone. Prayer becomes more than words—it becomes a shared moment of hope, strength, and encouragement. Sometimes, just being heard and lifted up in prayer can bring peace you didn’t know you needed.
Inviting Jesus into your story means welcoming His presence into every part of your life—the joys, the struggles, the questions, and the unknowns. He doesn’t wait for perfection; He meets you right where you are, with love, grace, and purpose. When you let Him in, your story begins to change—not because everything suddenly gets easier, but because you’re no longer walking through it alone. His peace, guidance, and hope can bring new meaning to every chapter.
Our prayer team is here for you, ready to walk alongside you in whatever season you're in. We believe that peace is possible—even in the middle of uncertainty—and we want to help you discover it through prayer, encouragement, and support. You don’t have to carry everything alone. Whether you need strength, clarity, or simply someone to listen, we’re here to lift you up and remind you that there is hope on your journey.
